Room×Lab Review · Review updated August 28, 2026

Owners of this 2'x3' rug like how it frames a doormat and its value; washing and outdoor sun are the main cautions

Room×Lab read all 407 distinct written Target reviews of this 2'x3' Black/White rug, dated February 2020 through August 2026, 16 of them recent; every one is of this size and color. Ratings run 346 five-star, 27 four-star, 12 three-star, 8 two-star and 14 one-star. One owner reports about a year outdoors in sun, and another nearly two years of repeated machine washing. The reviews below were picked to show each main complaint (washing, color, sliding, sun fading) beside the storm and longest-use praise; most owners give it five stars.

Room×Lab rating: 8.1 out of 10 (limited confidence). Owners of this 2'x3' rug praise how it frames a doormat, its two usable patterns and its value. The caveats: some rugs unraveled in the wash, sun faded others outdoors, it can slide without a pad, and some owners saw charcoal and ivory rather than black and white.

  • Well-sized for doormat layering: 62 favorable mentions; 4 concerns — Owners repeatedly found the 2'x3' dimensions useful for creating a visible patterned border beneath a smaller welcome mat.
  • Standout value for a reversible accent: 68 favorable mentions; 2 concerns — Owners often linked the price to the benefit of two usable patterns and easy seasonal restyling.
  • Outdoor durability varies by exposure: 20 favorable mentions; 18 concerns — Praise includes a rug that came through a major storm and others in long use. Concerns describe sun fading (one owner replaces it yearly), saturation, snagging, fraying and unraveling in the wash.

Before buying

Choose it to frame a doormat in a covered spot out of strong sun, with a pad on smooth floors. Hose-clean it as Target directs: one owner's rugs unraveled when machine washed.
