Adde Black owners praise easy cleaning; repeated complaints describe the black fading outdoors, some within weeks, and several say it looks grayer than listed

Room×Lab read all 196 distinct written owner reviews on Ruggable’s Adde Black Outdoor Rug page, dated June 2020 through July 2026 and spanning all five star ratings; 195 come from verified owners. Ruggable shows one set of reviews for every size and pad option of this rug, so the counts below cover all sizes, not only 72 by 108 inches. The outdoor reviews below describe several months of use; the longest stated is seven months. We picked them to show the most common complaint, the black fading outdoors, plus a sliding base, beside common praise for cleaning, the rug’s look and wear in sun; 168 of the 196 reviews are five-star.

Room×Lab rating: 7.6 out of 10 (medium confidence). Adde Black owners, across all sizes, average 4.67 stars and consistently praise easy vacuuming and machine washing. The caveats: repeated reports of the black fading outdoors, sometimes within weeks or months, and several owners finding the background grayer than shown.

  • Cleaning is the clearest strength: 57 favorable mentions; 1 concern — Owners regularly described easy vacuuming, spot cleaning, or machine washing. One owner said dog hair remained after washing.
  • Outdoor longevity is mixed: 21 favorable mentions; 13 concerns — Repeated concerns describe the black surface fading to gray, purple-brown or a much lighter tone, sometimes within weeks or months; one owner found it light gray after seven months outdoors. Many owners reported good wear, including one on a sunny deck for four to five months who saw little or no fading.
  • The pattern appeals, but “black” can read gray: 10 favorable mentions; 4 concerns — Owners often liked the cross pattern, while several said the background looked light gray or charcoal rather than the black shown in the listing.

Before buying

Check that your size fits your washer and anchor the corners on a windy porch. If fading or rain water collecting on the rug would bother you, keep it under cover: owners repeatedly report the black fading outdoors, some within weeks.
