Room×Lab Review · Review updated August 28, 2026

Havana owners, across both colors and all sizes, love the pattern and easy cleaning; fading in sun is the main outdoor complaint

Room×Lab read 190 distinct written owner reviews on Ruggable's site; 3 are recent and 14 are marked incentivized. Ruggable shows one set of reviews for every Havana outdoor rug color and size and does not say which one each owner bought, so the counts and accounts here cover both Multicolor and Desert Sage in every size. Owners used the rug on decks and other outdoor spaces and indoors; the reviews below that give a length of use describe several months to one summer. The reviews below span every star rating, from one-star complaints to two five-star accounts; 154 of the 190 reviews give five stars.

Room×Lab rating: 7.5 out of 10 (medium confidence). Owners across both Havana colors and all sizes give it 4.63 stars and praise the pattern and easy cleaning. Reports of fading in sun and slow drying after rain hold the score back, alongside isolated reports of shrinking, curling and tearing.

  • Color makes the strongest first impression: 64 favorable mentions and 15 concerns across the 190 written reviews Room×Lab read. — Owners often liked the vivid pattern both indoors and outdoors, and a recent repeat buyer said the colors matched the photos. The complaints: light sections showing dirt and an isolated printing defect.
  • Routine cleaning is a genuine strength, with caveats: 53 favorable mentions and 8 concerns across the 190 written reviews Room×Lab read. — Owners swept, hosed and machine-washed their rugs. The caveats were isolated: a stain surviving washing, shrinkage, slow drying, and difficult realignment of larger covers.
  • Outdoor durability remains the central tradeoff: 13 favorable mentions and 11 concerns across the 190 written reviews Room×Lab read. — Most concerns are fading: one owner saw the color fade within weeks, another almost completely within one summer, while some owners reported lasting color and good condition after outdoor exposure. Others described slow drying after rain; one deck rug took days with the pad on. Curling, shrinking and tearing from dog claws were isolated reports.

Before buying

Choose Havana for its vivid pattern and hose-or-wash cleaning if you can accept owner reports of fading within weeks to one summer in sun and slow drying after rain. Check that your size fits your washer and that you can align a large cover.
