Room×Lab Review · Review updated August 28, 2026

Owners of this 2'x3' black rug praise its doorway size and value; isolated owners report rain staining, fading or wind displacement outdoors

Room×Lab read all 145 distinct written reviews of this 2'x3' black rug on Target: 129 five-star, 10 four-star, 3 three-star, 2 two-star and 1 one-star. 24 are recent and 121 are older. The reviews below date from October 2022 to January 2026 and cover doorway, front-door layering, patio, entryway and indoor floor use; one of those owners also describes an older related pattern. All of these reviews are for the 2'x3' size, so they may not apply to the other sizes in Target's size guide. The reviews below include one at each star rating plus a second five-star report, so complaints appear more often here than they do across all 145 reviews.

Room×Lab rating: 8.3 out of 10 (limited confidence). Owners of this 2'x3' black rug rate it 4.82 stars across 145 reviews and praise its doorway size and value. The caveats come from isolated owners: rain staining, quick fading and high-traffic wear. Some owners also had the light rug slide on an indoor floor or blow away in strong wind.

  • Doorway-sized fit: 31 favorable fit mentions — Owners repeatedly praised the 2'x3' size for doorways, entryways and layering under another doormat, and none complained about the fit.
  • Value at owners' purchase prices: 20 favorable value mentions — Owners praised the price they paid at the time; check today's price before buying.
  • Condition-dependent durability: 8 favorable; 1 critical — Favorable reports describe sturdy fibers with no visible pilling, and rugs that held up on patios and in entryways. Concerns are individual reports rather than a common pattern: isolated owners described rain staining, quick fading, high-traffic wear or doubts that it would last more than one season.

Before buying

Choose this rug for a doorway or a layered front-door mat. Plan on a nonslip pad indoors and something to weigh it down in wind; isolated owners reported fading, rain staining or wear outdoors or under heavy traffic.
