Owners of every size say mud and pet accidents wash out; a few saw a more turquoise blue or early fading

Room×Lab read all 104 distinct written reviews of the Chunky Solid Blue Outdoor Rug, every one from a verified owner, dated June 2020 through June 2026. Ruggable shows reviews of every size and pad choice of this rug together, so the counts below cover all sizes, not only the 6-by-9 shown here; no other rug designs are included. Owners write about porches, entries and mudrooms. The six reviews below show the main praise and complaints; three come from the seven reviews rated three stars or lower, so complaints appear more often here than among reviews overall.

Room×Lab rating: 7.7 out of 10 (medium confidence). Owners of this rug in all sizes average 4.72 stars across 104 reviews and repeatedly say mud, pet accidents and wet shoes wash out. Weather reports are mostly favorable, but one owner saw fast fading in uncovered spots, and an owner of several Ruggable rugs saw bindings unravel within months.

  • Cleaning is the clearest strength: 39 favorable mentions; 5 concerns, across all sizes — Across the 104 reviews, owners report mud, pet accidents, wet shoes and high-traffic dirt washing out. Larger covers can be cumbersome: an owner of an 8-by-10 found it hard to position and slow to dry, and an owner of a long rug needed a second person to align it with the pad.
  • The multihue blue finish may surprise: 21 favorable mentions; 5 concerns — Most appearance comments praise the mix of blues. The five concerns: owners found the rug brighter, more turquoise, bolder or more visibly textured than the photos, and one saw turquoise flecks that made it less neutral than expected.
  • Weather durability is mostly praised, with a few early-wear reports: 8 favorable mentions; 3 concerns — Favorable reports cover rain, sun, snow, mud, pets and washing. Concerns include dramatic fading in uncovered areas in under two months, before the end of the first season, and, from an owner of several Ruggable rugs, bindings that unraveled and edges that curled within months. These are individual accounts, not a measure of how often it happens.

Before buying

Check that your washer takes the cover at your size, and expect a mix of blues that some owners found more turquoise than pictured. Some owners report fading and moisture problems, so favor a covered, well-drained spot.
