Hunter Nightstand

Room×Lab Review · Review updated August 28, 2026

Hunter Nightstand owners praise its low, wide fit beside low beds; several report stiff or noisy drawers and transit damage

Room×Lab read all 284 distinct written owner reviews of the Hunter Nightstand on Rove Concepts, dated December 2016 through May 2026: 259 five-star and 25 four-star. The store shows no reviews below four stars. Room×Lab found no Rove Concepts policy for product reviews; its Host Program terms cover host and guest reviews, let Rove refuse or remove submissions and bar paid or affiliated reviews. The reviews cover all three finishes on this listing: walnut, ash and glossy white. None describe how the nightstand holds up over years. Three of the six reviews below are four-star, a larger share than the 25 of 284 overall.

Room×Lab rating: 7.8 out of 10 (limited confidence). Hunter Nightstand owners average 4.8 stars over 284 reviews of all three finishes; the store shows none below four stars, and Room×Lab found no Rove product-review policy. Owners praise the low fit, looks and storage. Caveats: stiff or noisy drawers, some transit damage, and nobody reports how it holds up over years.

• Low-profile fit is a strength—with limits: 36 favorable size-and-fit mentions; 3 specific concerns — Owners often liked the Hunter beside low-profile beds. The three concerns: proportions too compact, too little room for taller stored items, and an awkward match beside a taller bed.
• Drawer action splits owners: 9 favorable mentions; 6 concerns in 64 reviews Room×Lab read closely — Favorable reviews highlighted the soft-close action and usable capacity. Concerns described stiff slides, slippery pulls, noisy closing, and drawers that felt less sturdy than the cabinet.
• Delivery usually goes well, but damage and packaging are real risks: 34 favorable delivery mentions; 10 comments with a specific drawback — Drawbacks included delays, freight concerns, packaging that was hard to dispose of, and damage in transit; one owner had pieces arrive damaged more than once.

Before buying

Check the 18-inch height against your mattress top: owners like it beside low beds, and one warns it is awkward beside a taller bed. Test the drawers on arrival; some owners found them stiff, slippery to pull or noisy.
