Nera 1-Drawer Nightstand - Walnut

Room×Lab Review · Review updated September 1, 2026

Walnut and oak owners praise the Nera’s low height, storage and arrive-ready setup; a few found the build or drawer flimsy

Room×Lab read 126 distinct written owner reviews of the Nera 1-Drawer Nightstand, drawn from 197 Article ratings across the walnut and oak finishes, including reviews of earlier listings. Few owners describe long-term use; one oak owner bought a second nightstand after owning the first for years. Oak owners are labelled where they appear, and comments about the oak finish may not apply to walnut. The reviews below were picked to span one to five stars, so they show more complaints than the ratings do: 171 of the 197 ratings are five stars.

Room×Lab rating: 8.1 out of 10 (medium confidence). Walnut and oak owners rate the Nera 4.78 out of 5 across 197 ratings, praising its low height, drawer-and-shelf storage and arrive-ready setup. The caveats: a few owners found the build or drawer flimsy, and few describe years of use.

• Compact-room and low-bed fit: 26 favorable mentions; 1 concern — Across walnut and oak reviews, owners repeatedly found the dimensions and 22-inch height useful beside low beds, beneath windows and in smaller rooms.
• Arrival readiness: 21 favorable assembly mentions; 4 concerns — Across walnut and oak reviews, owners commonly said the nightstand arrived assembled or needed virtually no setup. One walnut owner found the glued foam packaging messy, hard to recycle and sharp enough to cause minor injuries while unboxing.
• Value relative to build: 18 favorable mentions; 9 concerns — Across walnut and oak reviews, most value comments were favorable, but several satisfied owners still called the nightstand expensive.

Before buying

Measure the 22-inch height against your mattress top and expect grain to vary between walnut pieces. The Nera pairs walnut veneer with MDF and solid beech; a few owners called the build or drawer flimsy, so try the drawer when it arrives.
