Room×Lab Review · Review updated August 28, 2026

Sima owners across colors and systems praise easy washing most; colors unlike the photos and fading are the clearest cautions

Room×Lab read 1,929 distinct written owner reviews on Ruggable, 60 of them recent. They cover Sima Sage and Sima Royal Blue in both the one-piece Tufted All-in-One and the Flatwoven Two-Piece system, so comments on setup, padding, grip, vacuuming and washing may describe a rug other than the Sima Sage Tufted shown here. The owners below wrote after anything from two washes to about six months of use. We picked four reviews that show the main cautions (color, support, vacuuming, fading) and two praise reviews, one from a recent owner of the one-piece version; 1,595 of the 1,930 ratings across Sima colors are five stars.

Room×Lab rating: 8.2 out of 10 (limited confidence). Sima owners across colors and rug systems rate washability, looks and comfort highly, which drives the score. Colors that differ from the photos, vacuums lifting the cover, fading and mixed support experiences hold it back, and no independent test of the tufted version has been published.

  • Care and cleaning: 785 favorable mentions; 59 concerns — Washability and easy cleanup are what owners praise most. Concerns: washer capacity for larger sizes, drying time, vacuums pulling the cover off its backing (one owner even on the lowest setting), incomplete cleaning, and curling after washing; some of these come from owners of other Sima systems.
  • Color and finish: 468 favorable mentions; 75 concerns — Most appearance comments praise the pattern or colors, but a recurring minority found Sage or Royal Blue different from screen images; one Sage owner found it much bluer than it looked online. Counts cover written comments across Sima colors, not every star rating.
  • Durability: 162 favorable mentions; 33 concerns — Owners report repeated washing and high-traffic use without trouble. Some describe fading, with one owner's exposed areas clearly faded against the part under furniture after about six months; loose edging; and early wear. Some of these reports concern other Sima colors or systems.

Before buying

Check the sage in your room's light within the 30-day return window, confirm your washer fits your size, and vacuum on low suction: some owners report the cover lifting off its backing, and some report fading. Few long-term reports cover this tufted version.
