Room×Lab Review · Review updated August 28, 2026

Across Hendesi Heriz colors and sizes, owners praise easy cleaning; some found Abalone and Cream tones differed from photos

Room×Lab read all 5,328 distinct written owner reviews on Ruggable's Hendesi Heriz page. They cover the whole collection, not only Abalone: owners mention Abalone, Cream and other colors, sizes from runners up, and both the older flatwoven two-piece rug and the current tufted one-piece rug. Most (5,236) are older reviews; 92 are recent. Assembly, cushioning, edge behavior, stability and washing depend on which version the owner bought. The reviews below span one to five stars to show the range of experiences, so complaints appear more often here than across all reviews, where most owners give five stars.

Room×Lab rating: 8.0 out of 10 (medium confidence). Owners across Hendesi Heriz colors and sizes average 4.71 stars and broadly praise easy cleanup. Abalone and Cream tones that differed from photos and wash problems recur; most long-wear reports concern the older two-piece rug, and those on the current one-piece rug cover a short span.

  • Cleaning is the standout benefit: Owners repeatedly found spills, pet messes and routine dirt easier to handle, though some reported washing problems. — Individual owners reported fading, color transfer, shrinkage, curling and long drying times; one saw fading and color transfer after the first wash, another shrinkage after repeated washing. Several of these describe the older two-piece rug. Owners made 2,063 favorable care-and-cleaning mentions.
  • The pattern wins praise, but screen color can mislead: Owners commonly liked the traditional design, though some found Cream and Abalone tones differed from photos. — Some owners saw a sample differ from the full rug, or one version differ from another. Owners made 1,070 favorable color-and-appearance mentions; judge an Abalone sample in your own light.
  • Recommended sizes usually fit; edge and shifting problems vary by version: Recommended sizes usually worked; runners, large rugs and older two-piece rugs drew curling and shifting complaints. — Several curling, shifting and cover-alignment complaints concern runners, large rugs or the older two-piece rug; pad choice, size and floor surface also change how the rug lies. Owners made 556 favorable size-and-fit mentions.

Before buying

Judge an Abalone sample in your own light, keeping in mind that some owners saw the full rug differ from its sample, and confirm your chosen size fits your washer and dryer.
