Room×Lab Review · Review updated August 28, 2026

Impasto owners across all colors praise easy washing, while color mismatches and returns draw recurring complaints

Room×Lab read all 3,289 distinct written reviews on the Impasto Natural page: 387 recent and 2,902 older. They cover every Impasto color (Natural, Greyscale, Sage Green and Taupe) and both the older two-piece and flatwoven rugs and the current one-piece All-in-One. The counts below therefore describe the whole collection, not the Natural alone, and accounts of the older two-piece rugs may not match the current Natural All-in-One. The reviews below show the common praise for easy washing and the look, alongside complaints about stitching, creases and color.

Room×Lab rating: 7.9 out of 10 (medium confidence). Impasto owners across all colors and versions praise easy machine washing and the look, and owners report rugs in good shape after repeated washes; fading, loose stitching and pilling are isolated. Service is the weak point: complaints about replies, returns and refunds slightly outnumber praise.

  • Washability is the standout owner benefit: 1,148 favorable mentions; 77 concerns, across all Impasto colors and versions — Owners often described successful machine washing or easy spill cleanup. Concerns included handling large rugs, cleaning the pad on older two-piece versions, fading, pilling, drying, and realignment.
  • The palette pleases most owners, but mismatches recur: 639 favorable mentions; 192 concerns, across all Impasto colors and versions — Critical accounts described colors reading differently from names, screens, samples, or expectations, as well as darker areas, fading, and a printed-looking finish.
  • Service and returns are the clearest weak spot: 78 favorable mentions; 86 concerns, across all Impasto colors and versions — Some owners reported satisfactory resolutions, but recurring concerns involved delayed replies, difficult returns or exchanges, refund problems, and unresolved delivery collection.

Before buying

Check the Natural's taupe, cream and off-white in your own light before buying, since Impasto owners across colors report mismatches with screens and even samples. Confirm your washer and dryer take your size, and note that returns carry a processing fee.
