European Linen Cotton Stitch Sham Set

Room×Lab Review · Review updated August 28, 2026

Owners across both sizes praise the look and fit; a few sets arrived with uneven stitching, and some found the fabric stiff

Room×Lab read all 220 distinct written Quince reviews of this sham set, posted from August 2022 through August 2026. Quince shows the same reviews for the Standard and King sizes and every color, so the counts below cover both sizes, not the Standard alone. Some owners also discussed the matching quilt or their wider bedding; remarks about quilt weight or bed coverage are about those pieces, not the shams. The reviews below show each kind of complaint alongside typical praise; 211 of Quince's 229 ratings are five stars, so complaints are much rarer than the cards suggest.

Room×Lab rating: 8.4 out of 10 (medium confidence). Owners across both sizes and all colors praise the shams' look, fit over standard inserts and washing. The caveats: a few sets arrived with uneven or loose stitching, one Standard set held two differently sized shams, and few owners describe them beyond a year of use.

• Color and visual finish: 94 favorable mentions across both sizes; isolated color-match concerns — Appearance was the most praised trait. A few owners found the shams a different shade from a coordinating quilt or from older same-color purchases; one, comparing them with a same-color quilt, suspected separate dye lots.
• Softness and comfort: 41 favorable mentions across both sizes; 8 concerns — Most owners who discussed comfort liked the feel, but several found the linen-cotton face stiffer or rougher than they wanted on a pillow they sleep on; one owner who praised the look still wished the shams were softer.
• Construction and durability: 34 favorable mentions across both sizes; isolated 2- and 3-star workmanship concerns — Owners often report the shams washing and wearing well, including one who washes them weekly. The complaints concern sets as they arrived: one owner worried the widely spaced stitching could separate, and another received one neat sham and one with messy, uneven stitching.

Before buying

Choose these Standard shams for the textured linen-cotton look if you can accept a face some owners find stiff; on arrival, check that both match in size, with straight hems and even stitching, and compare the color with any quilt you own.
