Room×Lab Review · Review updated September 1, 2026

Owners of this cover like the waffle texture, but fit, short-end zipper loading and snagging divide them

Room×Lab read 299 distinct written reviews of Target's Waffle Body Pillow Cover, 8 recent and 291 older, with the reviews shown below dated February 2023 through August 2026. Target shows reviews for several current and past colors on one page, so some describe colors other than the Natural cover now shown, and the 702 ratings cover all of them. Reviews of Casaluna's linen cover and body-pillow insert are left out. The four reviews below dated November 2025 through August 2026 carry Target's verified-purchase label. The six reviews below show the main praise, a mixed view of softness and the most specific complaints; they are examples, not a tally.

Room×Lab rating: 6.6 out of 10 (limited confidence). Owners of this cover praise its waffle texture, but recurring complaints about fit, loading through the short-end zipper, snagging and unraveling limit the score. Reviews span several colors and apparent production versions on Target's page, and fit varies with the insert.

  • Decorative finish: Owners single out the waffle texture and neutral styling, though finish varies between covers. — Across all colors on Target's page, 78 owner comments praised the look; others reported inaccurate color, stains, a loose-looking weave and misaligned patterning.
  • Fit and insertion: Fit depends on the insert, which version arrives, and how the cover has been washed. — Across all colors on Target's page, 53 owner comments described a good fit, including with the matching Casaluna memory-foam insert; others reported excess length, overly tight lined versions, misshaping, or difficult loading through the short-end zipper.
  • Construction and durability: Owners call the fabric substantial, but snagging and unraveling recur. — Across all colors on Target's page, 109 owner comments praised the fabric's substance; others reported loose threads, snags, holes, weak seams, or unraveling after washing. The fastest failures, such as rapid unraveling and loose threads that worsened after careful washing, come from individual owners rather than most reviews.

Before buying

Measure your insert against the 20-by-52-inch cover and expect loading through the short-end zipper to take care. Owners split on softness, shrinkage after washing, and snag resistance; check the sewn label if you want an all-cotton cover.
