Room×Lab Review · Review updated August 28, 2026

Sham owners praise linen that softens in the wash; some report rough fabric, a short envelope overlap or an uneven fit

Room×Lab read 1,271 distinct written owner reviews, and Quince marks every one as incentivized. Quince shows the same reviews for Standard and King sizes and every color, and some describe Quince European linen sheets, duvet covers or full bedding sets, so the mention counts on this page cover all of these. The six owner reviews below are about the shams and were posted between 2021 and 2026; one owner names the Standard size. Most ratings are five stars, so we picked the most specific complaints about feel, fit, closure and color, plus two owners whose shams softened or kept their fit through washing.

Room×Lab rating: 8.0 out of 10 (limited confidence). Owners of these shams, in reviews Quince shares across Standard and King sizes and every color, rate comfort, softening in the wash and value highly. The caveats: some found the linen rough or thin, the envelope closure too short for fuller inserts, and the fit tight or loose depending on the pillow.

  • Feel after washing: 418 favorable mentions; 42 concerns — Counted across both sizes, every color and other Quince linen bedding. Owners often describe comfortable linen that softens with washing, sometimes after a scratchy, wrinkled start; a smaller group found it persistently scratchy, stiff or extremely rough.
  • Fit and envelope closure: 99 favorable mentions; 37 concerns — Counted across both sizes, every color and other Quince linen bedding. Fit usually worked, but some owners found the shams too small or too loose, or the envelope overlap too short to conceal fuller inserts; one found them slightly too small for 20-by-26-inch pillows, leaving bunched corners.
  • Durability through use and care: 301 favorable mentions; 36 concerns — Counted across both sizes, every color and other Quince linen bedding. A minority reported ripped stitching, holes, pilling, shedding, shrinkage or fraying, and some of those reports concern Quince linen sheets or duvet covers rather than the shams.

Before buying

Check your inserts' size and loft: one owner's 20-by-26-inch pillows bunched at the corners, and others found the envelope too short for fuller inserts. Expect wrinkles; many owners say the linen softens in the wash, but some find it rough.
