Pine Green owners split on comfort, one finding the padding thin; longer-use and wobbly-leg reports come from other Cammy colors

Room×Lab read 225 distinct Castlery owner reviews of the Cammy Armchair in Pine Green, Mustard, Tan, Canary Yellow, Fumo Gray and Dusty Rose velvet, from buyers of single chairs and pairs in the US, AU, SG and UK. Castlery offered many of these owners an incentive for a text or photo review. Pine Green is the chair shown here; accounts of other colors are labelled where they appear. Most owners do not say how long they had used the chair; the clearest longer-use reports come from Canary Yellow and Dusty Rose velvet owners. Most reviews across all colors are five-star. The reviews below show a Pine Green praise and a Pine Green complaint, the two clearest longer-use reports, and two 1-star complaints from other colors.

Room×Lab rating: 7.2 out of 10 (limited confidence). Pine Green owners praise the comfort and look; one finds the padding thin. In other colors, owners report years of comfortable use but also wobbly legs, a torn arm and strong discomfort. No Pine Green owner reports long-term wear. Based on owner reviews, not hands-on testing.

  • Pine Green comfort divides owners, as it does across Cammy colors: 10 favorable and 16 critical mentions of cushioning and comfort across all Cammy colors. — Pine Green owners give both comfort praise and complaints of thin padding. Mustard owners range from firm, relaxing support to extreme discomfort, with one pair moved to a spare bedroom, and Fumo Gray, Canary Yellow and Dusty Rose velvet owners also differ. Some owners welcome the firmness as supportive.
  • Longer-use praise comes from Canary Yellow and Dusty Rose velvet: 7 favorable and 2 critical mentions of wear and cleaning across all Cammy colors. — A Canary Yellow owner reports color and comfort holding up after four years, and another reports almost a year without wear. A Dusty Rose velvet owner praises the chair after years of use. Canary Yellow owners differ on how well the fabric cleans, and one raises a staining concern.
  • Canary Yellow leg wobble and a velvet arm tear, with no fix described: 8 favorable and 4 critical mentions of stability and defects across all Cammy colors. — Three Canary Yellow owners describe uneven or short legs that made the chair rock or wobble. In 2021, a Dusty Rose velvet owner in Singapore reported a tear in the right arm and asked for a replacement. None of these owners describes a completed fix. Other owners praise the build; these are individual reports, not a defect rate.

Before buying

Pine Green owners split on comfort and one finds the padding thin, so sit in a Cammy both upright and lounging if you can. Ask Castlery which parts arrive attached, whether the covers come off, and what the return terms are.
