Skinny Fat Chair reviews are shared with the collection: sofa owners praise comfort and upholstery, but no chair owner describes multi-year wear

Room×Lab read all 252 distinct written reviews on the Skinny Fat Chair and Petite Chair pages. BenchMade Modern shows the same reviews across the whole Skinny Fat collection, including sofas, sectionals, loveseats, sofa beds and beds. Of 253 ratings, 235 are five stars, 18 are four stars, and the store shows none below four; it may screen, edit or remove reviews, emails buyers to request them and does not define its Verified Buyer label. All owners quoted below have sofas or sectionals, with stated use from about one month to seven years; none was incentivized.

Room×Lab rating: 7.9 out of 10 (medium confidence). Skinny Fat Chair reviews are shared across the whole collection: 4.93 stars over 253 ratings, and the store, which may screen or remove reviews, shows none below four. Owners, mostly of sofas, praise comfort, looks, customization and service; no chair owner describes multi-year cushion or upholstery wear.

  • Comfort leads owner feedback across the collection: 139 favorable mentions — Counted across 252 reviews of the whole Skinny Fat collection. Sofa owners raise the caveats: seat fill that felt excessively firm, a seat deep for upright sitting, and a low back that lacked neck support for long TV viewing until pillows were added.
  • Color and upholstery draw broad praise: 107 favorable mentions — Counted across reviews of the whole Skinny Fat collection. One sofa owner saw pilling in Flavin Forest performance weave within about a month and keeps it down with a fabric shaver; a dog owner reports no staining after pet spills on performance fabric.
  • Durability draws far fewer mentions than comfort: 23 favorable mentions — Counted across reviews of the whole Skinny Fat collection. The longest report is a sectional still attractive and comfortable after seven years; the problems owners raise are cushions that distorted, underfilling and one component error.

Before buying

Choose the Skinny Fat Chair if its 45-inch width, 23-inch-deep seat and low back suit you; order swatches and compare both fills, as one sofa owner saw early pilling in a performance weave and another found cushions firm and distorted.
