Room×Lab Review · Review updated August 28, 2026

Sora owners praise the comfort and easy assembly; the cautions are a seat lower than expected and mixed reports of cushion wear and mold

Room×Lab read all 83 distinct written reviews among the 105 ratings on Article's Sora 81.5" Outdoor Sofa listing, dated April 2020 through June 2026. Article may show reviews of other Sora colors or fabrics on this page, so these counts can include those versions. The reviews below cover use from early ownership to four seasons outdoors. They pair two cushion complaints and two low-seat accounts with two praise reviews, to show the main experiences rather than how often each occurs.

Room×Lab rating: 7.2 out of 10 (medium confidence). Sora owners praise its comfort for lounging and napping and its easy assembly. The score is held back by a seat several owners found lower than expected, mixed reports on how the cushions and frame hold up, including mold, and divided accounts of Article's support.

  • Comfort: 37 reviews praise comfort; 9 raise comfort concerns — Comfort is the clearest strength in the 83 written reviews: owners often praise it for lounging and napping. The nine concerns describe cushions that felt firm, thin, unevenly soft, or under-padded.
  • Durability and moisture: 6 reviews praise durability; 6 report problems — After four seasons outdoors under a cover, one owner found the frame sturdy and the cushions still soft. Other owners report cushion components deteriorating in under a year, mold after one season on a covered porch, or a cracked leg.
  • Footprint and low profile: 17 favorable size-and-fit mentions; recurring low-seat cautions — Owners often liked the sofa's space-conscious proportions, but several said the seat felt or measured lower than the listed 16 inches; one returned it for that reason and another planned to add risers.

Before buying

Test a 16-inch-high seat before ordering, since several owners found the Sora lower than expected. Owners report cushion mold or breakdown within a year even out of the rain, so ask Article whether replacement cushions are sold.
