Galaxy Gray Nord owners praise its fit in small rooms; a firm seat, cushion wear and uneven construction are the recurring complaints

Room×Lab read all 182 distinct written reviews Article shows for the Galaxy Gray Nord chair, out of 266 ratings, posted from May 2017 through July 2026. Article shows reviews of earlier Nord chair listings alongside the current one, so these reviews cover this chair and its earlier versions, not the leather or velvet Nord chairs. The reviews below show the most common praise, one owner's long-term account and the most detailed complaints about firmness, cushion wear and construction.

Room×Lab rating: 7.7 out of 10 (medium confidence). Owners of the Galaxy Gray Nord and its earlier versions give it 4.39 stars across 266 ratings and repeatedly fit it into dens and small living rooms. Recurring complaints about a firm seat, cushion wear and uneven construction hold the score back.

  • Compact rooms are its clearest win: 27 favorable mentions; 7 concerns — Across the 182 written reviews Room×Lab read, owners repeatedly reported successful placement in dens, small living rooms, and compact seating areas; deeper seating and the low arms or back did not suit everyone.
  • Comfort is supportive rather than plush: 65 favorable mentions; 45 concerns — Many owners found the chair comfortable or supportive. The complaints are firmness, thin back padding and being able to feel the frame underneath; one owner found it substantially firmer than the medium-firm feel Article advertises.
  • Durability is encouraging but uneven: 19 favorable mentions; 30 concerns — One owner reported a pair still sturdy and unchanged after three years of daily family use. Recurring concerns involve cushions, upholstery, legs, frames and construction: a cushion that needed frequent reshaping and wore within a year, a chair that arrived broken, and mismatched backs, loose upholstery and a failing button that took multiple exchanges.

Before buying

Choose the Nord for a small room if a firm seat and thin back padding suit you, and check the 17.5-inch seat height and 21-inch depth. Owners report cushion wear, one within a year, and mismatched or broken chairs, so check each one on delivery.
