Room×Lab Review · Review updated September 8, 2026 · Evidence rechecked September 10, 2026

A Chalk Gray repeat buyer found this chair firmer than a 2022 Ceni; across colors, firmness and the low seat divide owners

Room×Lab read 97 distinct written reviews of Ceni lounge chairs on Article, dated November 2023 to August 2026, across several colors and older versions; Ceni sofas and loveseats are not included. Two reviews are on this Chalk Gray listing, and another names earlier Chalk Gray chairs alongside a loveseat; other cards come from other Ceni chair listings. The firmness counts come from one other Ceni chair listing; seat-height and assembly counts span chair variants. Older chairs and other colors may have different upholstery from the current Chalk Gray chair. The reviews below show both Chalk Gray reviews, then firmness, seat-height and comfort accounts from other Ceni chair owners.

Room×Lab rating: 7.0 out of 10 (limited confidence). The two Chalk Gray reviews split: five stars for the look, two from a repeat buyer who found it firmer. Across Ceni chair colors, reviews average 4.85 stars, mostly for looks and comfort, but firmness and the low seat divide owners; no owner reports wear over years. Scored from owner reviews, not hands-on testing.

  • Firmness can feel supportive or too hard: 4 favorable mentions; 2 critical mentions — These counts come from reviews on one other Ceni chair listing, where owners split between welcome firmness and excessive hardness; reviews on other listings show similar differences. Sit in a Ceni or check Article's return terms before counting on how the Chalk Gray chair will feel.
  • Low seating sometimes calls for a change: 4 favorable or accepting mentions; 2 critical mentions — Across Ceni chair variants, four owners liked or accepted the low seat or had no trouble getting up. One owner planned an exchange because the seat was too low, and another added risers but still rated the chair five stars.
  • Assembly generally sounds straightforward: 12 favorable mentions; 1 critical mention — Owners describe easy or minimal assembly, including one shared chair-and-loveseat setup account. One owner of an earlier blue chair reported a leg-attachment problem; no other owner, and no Chalk Gray owner, describes the same issue.

Before buying

A repeat buyer found this Chalk Gray chair firmer, with less appealing fabric, than a 2022 Ceni; firmness and the low seat divide other owners. Sit in one or check Article's return terms, and confirm the 17-inch seat height and 23-inch seat depth suit you.
