Room×Lab Review · Review updated August 28, 2026

Hunter owners describe a quiet, solid frame; plan for a heavy two-person build and check every part for delivery damage

Room×Lab read all 168 distinct written reviews of the Hunter Bed on Rove's site, dated December 2016 to May 2026: 156 five-star and 12 four-star, none below four stars. Rove publishes no review policy for its furniture; its store policy mentions a Trustpilot review credit and lets Rove remove or edit site content, so weigh the near-perfect average against the wider-web owner accounts. The reviews are shared across Queen and King and both veneers; most do not name a size or finish, some older ones mention sizes no longer offered, and few describe more than a few years of use. The reviews below show both the praise and the specific complaints owners raised.

Room×Lab rating: 8.4 out of 10 (medium confidence). Owners in Rove's 168 Hunter reviews across both sizes and veneers, none below four stars, consistently praise a solid, quiet, stable frame; Rove publishes no furniture-review policy. Caveats: a heavy two-person build, a low, wide platform, some delivery damage, and few reports beyond a few years.

  • Quiet, planted feel: 22 favorable stability or noise mentions across Rove's reviews (all sizes and finishes) — Owners repeatedly describe little movement, creaking or motion transfer. The exception is one older, otherwise positive review describing a headboard that loosened.
  • Assembly takes planning: 38 favorable assembly mentions and 20 complaints about the build, across Rove's reviews — Even satisfied owners describe heavy parts that need two people, an Allen key with little room to turn, many bolts and occasional bracket-hole misalignment; one owner also found the supplied washers undersized.
  • Delivery is usually smooth, but damage happens: 32 favorable delivery or packaging mentions and 13 complaints, across Rove's reviews — Packaging and coordinated delivery drew praise. Individual owners reported scratches, veneer damage and delays, and some waited on replacement parts.

Before buying

Pick the Hunter for the quiet, solid frame owners describe if you can plan a heavy two-person or paid build. Measure for the low, wide platform, whose projecting sides are easy to kick; ask Rove for slat spacing and check your mattress warranty accepts it.
