Vintage Wash European Linen Bed Cover

Room×Lab Review · Review updated August 28, 2026

Across all colors and sizes, owners praise cool, weighty linen; lint, a rough break-in and isolated seam failures temper it

Room×Lab read 263 distinct written reviews on Quince's site, all marked by Quince as from verified owners and incentivized. Quince shows one set of reviews for the Oat, Ivory and Terracotta colors and the Full/Queen and King/Cal King sizes, and individual reviews do not name the color or size bought, so what follows covers every color and size, not the Full/Queen alone. Reports from long ownership are uncommon; one owner describes two covers after about ten months of light guest-room use. The reviews below show praise for cool summer comfort and complaints about holes, lint, texture and color.

Room×Lab rating: 7.4 out of 10 (medium confidence). Owners across all colors and sizes credit cool warm-weather comfort, substantial drape and good value. Caveats: some report lint persisting through several washes and a coarse first feel; owners raise 26 care concerns, and seam, hem and hole failures are isolated but consequential.

• Breathable comfort, with a texture break-in: 56 favorable comfort mentions; 11 concerns. — Hot sleepers often liked the airflow on summer nights. Some owners also described the open weave as coarse, scratchy or tablecloth-like; one hot sleeper found it softened over several washes but still needed a flat sheet beneath.
• Washing can mean either easy care or serious lint: 58 favorable care mentions; 26 concerns. — Some owners accepted substantial first-wash lint as temporary, while others reported persistent shedding, fuzz on clothing, repeated dryer-filter clearing, or professional dryer cleaning.
• Pet-tolerant for some, with isolated seam and hem failures: 10 favorable durability mentions; 6 concerns. — Owners report the cover tolerating cat kneading and other pet activity. The concerns include unraveling hems, undone stitching, and one owner's two lightly used covers that developed holes near the edge seams after about a dozen washes over ten months.

Before buying

Choose this cover for cool, weighty linen if you can accept lint that persists for some owners and a coarse first feel. Check the Full/Queen's 92" W x 96" L against your mattress, and note that some owners found Oat too yellow.
