Owners praise its grounding weight and rich color; isolated reports cite pilling, snags, unraveling and holes, and Quince says dry clean only

Room×Lab read all 1,273 distinct written verified-owner reviews on Quince's Cotton Fisherman Throw listing, posted from February 2023 through August 27, 2026. They cover every color of this one 50 × 60-inch throw, not other Quince throws. Quince marks every one of them as incentivized and does not say what the incentive was. The reviews below show the most common praise, for weight, breathability and color, alongside the most detailed of the isolated reports of pilling, snags, unraveling and holes.

Room×Lab rating: 8.1 out of 10 (medium confidence). Owners of this throw, across all colors, describe a substantial, breathable cotton knit in rich color; 1,225 of 1,273 written reviews give four or five stars. The caveats: Quince says dry clean only, and there are recurring but isolated reports of shedding, pilling, snags, unraveling or holes, some within weeks.

  • Grounding weight without stifling warmth: 326 favorable comfort mentions; 32 concerns — Owners commonly describe the substantial open knit as cozy and breathable. A few found it heavy, rough, too open or not warm enough. Counts cover written reviews across all colors.
  • Color and texture elevate a room: 467 favorable color-and-finish mentions; 29 concerns — Rich color, knit texture and decorative presence were standout strengths. Isolated objections involved unexpected undertones, loose threads, flaws or the edging. Counts cover every color of this throw.
  • Care and knit failures are the practical caution: 123 favorable care mentions and 49 favorable durability mentions; 91 and 58 concerns, respectively — Reported failures include a large hole within weeks of decorative use, a corner that unraveled after a gentle-cycle wash, pilling and lint that transferred to clothes and furniture, and loose threads and fresh snags. Some owners washed it at home without trouble; Quince's instruction is dry clean only.

Before buying

Choose it for weighty, breathable cotton knit in rich color on a sofa or chair; at 50 × 60 inches it suits those better than a whole bed. Quince says dry clean only, and there are isolated reports of shedding, snags, unraveling or holes.
