Room×Lab Review · Review updated August 28, 2026

Owners praise its softness and cable look; some found it thin, light or less soft than expected

Room×Lab read all 132 distinct written Quince reviews of the Cable Knit Cashmere Throw, out of 134 ratings submitted from March 7, 2021 through August 26, 2026; two ratings came without a comment. The reviews cover this one throw in all its listed colors, not other Quince throw designs. One owner shown below reports about five months of use. Each review shown below comes from a verified owner and is marked by Quince as incentivized. Most reviews are five-star praise, so we picked three reviews with complaints about softness, thinness and warmth, and three five-star reviews that describe washing, wear and value.

Room×Lab rating: 8.1 out of 10 (medium confidence). Owners of this throw rate it overwhelmingly highly for its softness, cable look and one-person size. The caveat is its light build: every written three- and four-star review raised thickness, warmth, softness, size or weight, and few owners describe how it wears over time.

  • Softness and comfort lead owner praise: 59 favorable comfort mentions — Owners repeatedly describe a soft, warm, cozy hand, although one three-star owner expected softer cashmere and others wanted more substance.
  • The knit works especially well as a decorative personal layer: 26 favorable color-or-finish mentions and 19 favorable size mentions — Owners commonly like the colors, cable texture, and dimensions for a one-person throw, wrap, nap layer, or bed accent rather than a full blanket.
  • Lightness is the main tradeoff; few owners describe long-term wear: 21 concerns; 4 favorable durability mentions — Every written three- and four-star review raised a caveat about thickness, warmth, softness, size or weight, such as a throw too thin to stay warm on the couch without another layer, or one that felt thin and flat. Four reviews speak favorably about wear, among them a throw that kept its shape.

Before buying

Choose it as a soft one-person layer or decorative bed throw. If you want it to keep you warm on the couch by itself, expect a light knit: owners repeatedly call it thin, and one needed another layer on top.
