Room×Lab Review · Review updated September 1, 2026

Owners praise KARMSUND’s value, easy setup and full-body view, though its deep, fixed-angle stand takes more room than some expect

Room×Lab read all 947 distinct written IKEA owner reviews of the KARMSUND black 40×167 cm (15 3/4×65 3/4 in) floor mirror, posted from 2016 to 2026 at every star level. They include reviews of the same model from IKEA's regional listings. The reviews below were picked to cover every star level, so complaints appear far more often here than among all reviews, most of which give four or five stars.

Room×Lab rating: 8.4 out of 10 (medium confidence). Owners of the black KARMSUND praise its value, easy assembly and full-body view; 899 of 947 ratings are four or five stars. The caveats: a deep, fixed-angle stand, a few breakage and stability complaints, few accounts of long-term wear, and no clear replacement for a lost rear-leg restraint.

  • Value is the standout: 52 favorable value mentions; 7 concerns — Owners commonly connected the full-length size and metal construction with a fair price, although one five-star owner still considered roughly $100 expensive.
  • Assembly is usually straightforward: 44 favorable assembly mentions; 18 concerns — Most assembly comments were favorable. The 18 concerns included tiny or missing fasteners and a decorative top that was tricky to attach.
  • Full-length proportions generally work well: 44 favorable size-and-fit mentions; 10 concerns — Owners often liked the full-body view and narrow frame. Some of the 10 concerns described the fixed-angle stand as unexpectedly deep or awkward.

Before buying

Allow for the 17 3/4-inch-deep, fixed-angle stand, and buy screws suited to your wall if you will mount it. Keep your receipt: two owners who lost the rear-leg restraint found no separate replacement part.
