White and other BRIMNES 4-drawer owners praise deep drawers and value; the 7 3/4-inch pull-out and some failing drawers draw complaints

Room×Lab read 1,215 distinct written reviews of the BRIMNES 4-drawer dresser on IKEA's U.S. site. IKEA shows reviews of the white and gray/frosted-glass dressers alongside reviews of other BRIMNES 4-drawer listings and other markets. The counts on this page cover all of them, not the white dresser alone. Of the six reviews below, three come from owners of the white dresser, one from an owner of the gray/frosted-glass version and two from other BRIMNES 4-drawer listings. We picked three mostly positive reviews and three detailed complaints. Most owners are pleased: 877 of 1,221 ratings are five stars.

Room×Lab rating: 7.3 out of 10 (medium confidence). Owners of the white dresser, and of the gray/frosted-glass and other BRIMNES 4-drawer versions, praise the deep drawers, looks and value. The score is held back by the 7 3/4-inch pull-out, drawers that came apart or caught, an impractical replacement offer and an unresolved exchange.

• Deep storage, restricted access: 38 favorable mentions; 85 concerns — Owners often liked the compact footprint and roomy drawers, but the deliberately short 7 3/4-inch pull-out makes clothing at the back hard to see and reach. These counts cover the wider size-and-fit topic across all BRIMNES 4-drawer reviews Room×Lab read.
• Assembly usually manageable, not effortless: 87 favorable mentions; 51 concerns — Across all BRIMNES 4-drawer reviews, many owners found the build straightforward. The recurring difficulties were the time it takes, confusing diagrams, parts fitted the wrong way round and then redone, and the practical need for a second person.
• Durability remains mixed: 10 favorable mentions; 56 concerns — Across all BRIMNES 4-drawer listings, some owners describe sturdy, long-lived dressers. Others report tracks failing, panels damaged and drawers separating, including one owner of another BRIMNES 4-drawer listing whose drawers began coming apart within a month. These failure reports are a minority of more than 1,200 reviews.

Before buying

Choose the BRIMNES for deep, compact storage if you can live with drawers that pull out only 7 3/4 inches, two-person assembly and required wall anchoring. Test every drawer soon after assembly: one owner's drawers began coming apart within a month.
