BRIMNES 3-drawer owners across all colors praise deep drawers and value; current drawers pull out only partway and can be tricky to fit

Room×Lab read 937 distinct written reviews of the BRIMNES 3-drawer dresser, posted from October 2017 through August 2026. They cover the current white, gray/frosted-glass and black versions plus older regional listings of the same dresser, so the counts and ratings on this page span all colors, not the white version alone. Most of the reviews below come from black and gray owners; one comes from a white owner. Most reviews are four or five stars; we picked two typical praise reviews and the most detailed complaints, led by the short drawer rails.

Room×Lab rating: 7.3 out of 10 (medium confidence). Owners across all colors mostly praise the deep drawers, compact footprint and value. The main caveat is current drawers that pull out only partway, leaving the back hard to reach; owners also report scratches, chips, wobble, misaligned panels, hard-to-fit drawers and mixed help from IKEA.

  • Assembly is usually manageable, though drawers can be hard to fit: 61 favorable mentions; 74 concerns — Owners who praise it found the instructions clear and building it alone workable; one owner put two together in about two and a half hours. Concerns centre on drawers that are hard to fit, long builds, and damaged or missing parts.
  • Deep storage comes with restricted access: 36 favorable mentions; 33 concerns — Owners praise the compact footprint and deep drawers, but on current units the drawers pull out only partway, leaving the back hard to reach; one white-dresser owner replaced the rails at added cost and effort.
  • Value is a standout strength: 37 favorable mentions; 8 concerns — Owners frequently tie the price to the drawer space, the look and construction they find acceptable for the money, though good value does not guarantee long-term durability.

Before buying

Choose it for deep, compact storage if you can accept drawers that pull out only partway (8 3/8 in on white). Fit the left and right runners the right way round, anchor it to the wall, and don't expect a new unit to match an older BRIMNES.
