Walnut Oscuro owners praise its fit in narrow entries; isolated reports describe chipped veneer, corner gaps or misaligned holes

Room×Lab read 121 distinct written reviews of this Walnut console on Article's site, where it holds a 4.77-star average from 213 ratings. All 121 cover this Walnut console, not other colors or finishes. They describe the condition it arrived in, assembly, fit in entries, hallways and alcoves, and how Article handled defects. A few describe longer use: several years in a family member's homes, and use in an RV. Most reviews are praise. The owner reviews below show complaints about arrival condition and assembly, plus two praise reviews that describe longer use.

Room×Lab rating: 8.4 out of 10 (limited confidence). Owners of the Walnut Oscuro praise its narrow footprint in entries and hallways, its looks and its stability. The caveat is arrival quality: isolated reports describe chipped or scratched veneer, corner gaps, uneven finish or misaligned holes, and few describe how the veneer wears over years.

• Narrow-space fit: 24 favorable mentions; 3 concerns — Owners repeatedly found the slim footprint useful in entryways, hallways, alcoves, and an RV. Among the 3 concerns, one owner found the 35-inch height did not work behind a sectional.
• Assembly: 32 favorable mentions; 7 concerns — Owners commonly call assembly quick or straightforward. Isolated reports describe stripped screws, oversized holes, protruding fasteners, and misaligned brackets or leg tabs, including factory-attached parts that had to be loosened to line up.
• Durability and defects: 5 favorable mentions; 12 concerns — Encouraging reports include several years of use in a family member's homes and use in an RV. The 12 concerns describe chipped or peeling veneer, scratches, uneven finish, corner gaps and flaking paint, often found on arrival.

Before buying

Choose the Oscuro for a narrow entry or hallway if a 35-inch height suits the spot. Check the veneer, finish, corners, screw holes and hardware as you unpack, and allow time to anchor it to the wall as Article requires.
