Room×Lab Review · Review updated August 28, 2026

Owners of this black lamp praise its look and value, but some got pole sections that would not join or align

Room×Lab read all 129 distinct written Target reviews of this black 62.5-inch Londonberry Stick Floor Lamp, posted from March 2021 through August 2026 (27 recent, 102 older). Target shows reviews of this black lamp only, not other Londonberry or Threshold lamps. Few owners describe how the lamp holds up over time. The reviews below show the praise owners repeat most, one owner who wanted more light, and the faults owners report: a crooked pole, pole pieces that would not connect and a pull chain that broke.

Room×Lab rating: 7.1 out of 10 (medium confidence). Target owners of this black lamp rate it 4.07 stars across 129 reviews and praise its weighty base, styling and value. The main caveat is pole sections that repeatedly would not join or line up. Few owners describe how the pull chain and joints hold up over time.

  • Assembly depends on correctly formed threads: 40 reviews praise assembly; 19 raise assembly concerns — Many owners set the lamp up quickly without tools, but recurring concerns describe pole sections that would not start threading, tighten or line up. Some affected lamps could not be assembled at all.
  • The look feels strong for the price: 42 reviews praise value; 15 raise value concerns — Owners often say the styling and substantial construction feel better than the price, especially on sale. That holds only if the lamp arrives straight, undamaged and able to be assembled.
  • Few owners report how it holds up: 3 reviews praise durability; 4 raise concerns — The clearest failure: one owner's pull chain, the lamp's only switch, broke after about one month. No owner describes how the lamp holds up over years.

Before buying

Assemble it as soon as it arrives and check that every pole section threads fully, the lamp stands straight and the pull chain works while you can still return it. For a bright room, note it takes a single bulb of up to 100 W.
