Room×Lab Review · Review updated August 28, 2026
Gray lamp owners praise its compact size and costlier look; cracked bases and dented shades on delivery are the main complaint
Room×Lab read all 176 distinct written owner reviews of this gray lamp on Target, dated October 2020 through August 2026: 127 five-star, 11 four-star, 7 three-star, 6 two-star and 25 one-star. They cover only the gray lamp, not the blue or other versions, so the counts below describe these 176 written reviews, not all 404 ratings shown on the product page. The six reviews below are examples, not a vote: they show the kinds of complaints owners raise, from damaged arrivals to a missing finial and color shifts, plus two five-star accounts of its costlier look, one after several months of use.
Room×Lab rating: 7.7 out of 10 (limited confidence). Owners of this gray lamp rate it highest for compact placement, looks and value. The caveats: some arrived cracked or with dented shades, the gray undertone differs between units, and owners say little about how it wears over years.
- Compact placement: Owners consistently place it successfully on nightstands, end tables, consoles, and other smaller surfaces. — Across the 176 written reviews, 54 favorable mentions praise its size or fit for smaller surfaces; a few owners had expected a larger lamp.
- Looks above its price: The ceramic form and neutral styling frequently read as more expensive than the lamp's price. — Owners say the ceramic form looks costlier than its price; 40 favorable mentions in the 176 written reviews praise its value.
- Delivery condition: Shattered ceramic, dented shades, and thin packing are the clearest recurring purchase risk. — Owners describe shattered or cracked ceramic, dented shades and thin packing on arrival. Of 34 delivery mentions in the 176 written reviews, 13 were favorable, while many of the others describe breakage, dents or poor packing.
Before buying
Owners of this gray lamp like it on nightstands, end tables and consoles; check the base, shade and finial the day it arrives, as cracks and dents recur. For a pair, compare units side by side, because the gray undertone varies.
