Movie Night™ 5-Piece Modular Sectional Closed, Large

Room×Lab Review · Review updated August 29, 2026

Across the Movie Night range, owners praise sink-in comfort, but cushion flattening and fabric pilling are the recurring complaints

Room×Lab read all 316 distinct written reviews of Sundays’ Movie Night range. They cover several configurations, sizes and upholstery colors, including 3-piece and 5-piece sectionals and white linen and Champagne covers, so the counts and accounts here describe the whole Movie Night family rather than this 5-piece Large alone. The reviews below run from one to five stars and lean toward cushion and fabric complaints; they are not a vote, and 246 of the 316 reviews give five stars.

Room×Lab rating: 7.3 out of 10 (medium confidence). Across several Movie Night configurations, owners rate the deep, sink-in comfort and lounging space highly. The score is held back by recurring reports of cushions flattening and fabric pilling, some within weeks or months, plus escaping feathers and frequent reshaping.

• Sink-in comfort is the standout: 163 favorable mentions; 31 concerns — Owners across the Movie Night range praise napping and lounging comfort; the concerns are seats that feel unsupportive or sit too low and deep to rise from easily.
• Long-term wear is the main reservation: 35 favorable mentions; 36 concerns — Repeated accounts describe flattening, pilling and feather escape: pilling within two weeks on a white-linen sectional, cushions losing loft without frequent fluffing after about five months, and seats that flattened, slid forward and leaked feathers after almost three years. A Reddit owner saw no visible wear after just over a year.
• The generous scale suits lounging better than upright sitting: 65 favorable mentions; 9 concerns — Owners value the room-filling size, but the deep, low seat suits reclining more than upright sitting: one owner who returned a 5-piece sectional found it too deep and hard to rise from.

Before buying

Choose the Large 5-piece for deep lounging if your room fits its 135-inch square and you'll fluff cushions routinely; across the Movie Night range, owners report flattening, pilling, escaping feathers and a deep seat some find hard to rise from.
