Diane owners praise its sculptural look, but the firm, low seat and how each upholstery wears divide them

Room×Lab read 152 distinct written reviews of the Diane Sofa on Rove Concepts' listing, covering several upholstery and color choices. They average 4.9: 136 five-star and 16 four-star. This store shows no reviews below four stars. Rove publishes no product-review policy; its store policy only reserves the right to remove or edit site content, and the reviews carry no verified-buyer or incentive tags, so weigh the average with that in mind alongside the Trustpilot accounts below. 45 reviews are recent and 107 older; few describe long ownership. The reviews below were picked for their specific comfort, upholstery and stair-moving concerns, plus one showroom's report on several sofas in use.

Room×Lab rating: 7.6 out of 10 (medium confidence). Diane owners on Rove's site rate it 4.9 across 152 reviews; the store shows none below four stars and publishes no review policy. Owners love the look, but some find the low seat firm, some upholstery marks or creases, and few describe years of use. Service accounts elsewhere are more mixed.

  • Firmness is the main comfort tradeoff: 52 favorable comfort mentions; 6 concerns — The six concerns described a firm or hard seat, sitting comfort one April 2026 reviewer called extremely poor, or a seat better for conversation than lounging. Counts show how often a topic was mentioned, not how common an experience is among all buyers.
  • Upholstery looks strong, but behavior varies by material: 31 favorable color or finish mentions; 7 concerns across different problems — The seven concerns cover different problems: packaging compression marks that persisted (December 2022), bunching or wrinkles, vegan suede that held body impressions after sitting (May 2025), and upholstery that soiled easily. Another owner found one blue option looked more teal in person but still liked it.
  • The low, wide form rewards careful measuring: 12 favorable size-and-fit mentions; 4 concerns — Owners praised how the Diane fits their rooms. The concerns were its low height, its proportions, and a width that made stairs hard to manage, especially in slippery leather. Counts reflect mentions, not how often an issue occurs across all buyers.

Before buying

Choose the Diane for a sculptural, firm, low seat made for conversation rather than lounging. Check how your chosen upholstery handles marks and impressions, and measure every doorway, stair turn and elevator for its wide one-piece frame.
