Charme Chocolat and other Timber owners praise deep lounge comfort; flattening cushions are the recurring complaint

Room×Lab read all 1,708 distinct written owner reviews shown across Article's Timber 90-inch sofa listings, dated March 2017 through August 2026. Article's listings mix reviews of several Timber 90-inch variants, so these come from more than Charme Chocolat owners; Charme Tan accounts are labelled where they appear. The owner reviews below range from one week to nearly four years of use. They include long-term complaints and a tall owner's fit problem, alongside praise after one week and one year of use. They are not in proportion: most owners rate the sofa favorably.

Room×Lab rating: 7.4 out of 10 (medium confidence). Charme Chocolat owners and owners of other Timber colors rate the deep lounge comfort and the leather's look highly, and find the value generally favorable. Recurring cushion flattening or collapse, some within the first year, leather wear and mixed support after purchase keep it below the top tier.

  • Lounge comfort is the clearest strength: 876 favorable mentions; 103 concerns — Counts cover Timber 90-inch reviews across colors. Owners frequently describe plush lounging and naps; the low back, deep seat and soft back cushions leave some without upright or head support.
  • The leather looks rich but visibly records use: 664 favorable mentions; 252 concerns — Counts cover Timber 90-inch reviews across colors. Owners praise the look and feel but disagree on how closely the color matches photos, and report easy scratching, wrinkles, exposed cushion backing and fast visible wear. Article says shade variation and patina are part of this leather.
  • Long-term cushion and frame outcomes diverge: 243 favorable mentions; 128 concerns — Counts cover Timber 90-inch reviews across colors. Some owners report years of sturdy use with regular care; others describe cushion collapse or flattening, in some cases within the first year, plus sagging, fading or easy damage. Leg and attachment failures are serious but isolated accounts.

Before buying

Choose the Charme Chocolat Timber for deep, soft lounging if you accept leather that scratches and creases, cushions that need regular fluffing, a one-year warranty and no assured replacement parts. Taller sitters: check the 32.5-inch back height.
