Across all colors, 81-inch Nirvana owners praise lounging comfort and leather; cushions sagging within a few years is the main risk

Room×Lab read all 239 distinct written reviews Article shows for the 81-inch Nirvana sofa, posted June 2016 to July 2026. They cover Indiana Brown, Dakota Tan and earlier colors and cushion constructions, so they describe the sofa across its versions, not Indiana Brown alone; reviews of Nirvana chairs and corner sectionals are left out. Of the 315 star ratings, 215 are 5 stars. The six reviews below range from first impressions to about four years of use. They show the praise owners give most often, for the leather and lounging comfort, alongside complaints about a low seat and the recurring reports of cushions that sag.

Room×Lab rating: 6.8 out of 10 (medium confidence). Across all colors of the 81-inch Nirvana, 315 ratings average 4.26 stars, and owners praise the soft, deep lounging seat and the leather. The score is held back by recurring reports of cushions that sag and flatten after a few years, in reviews that also cover earlier cushion constructions.

  • Comfort favors relaxed lounging: 115 favorable mentions; 62 concerns — Across the 239 written reviews, owners most often praised softness and lounging comfort. Concerns describe sinking, a forward slope, little back or neck support, and comfort fading as cushions flattened. These counts come from the written reviews, not all 315 ratings.
  • Cushion aging is the main durability risk: 29 favorable durability mentions; 38 concerns — Some owners report sturdy frames and leather that ages well. Recurring multi-year concerns include seat and back cushions that sag or flatten, feather loss, cracking, tearing and early replacement; structural failures are isolated reports. Counts come from the 239 written reviews.
  • The natural leather look comes with variation: 82 favorable finish mentions; 32 concerns — Across all colors, owners frequently liked the color, softness, patina and styling; one reported no marks from dog nails or a large coffee spill after a month. Concerns included unexpected color or texture, scratches, spotting, and liquids leaving marks. These counts come from the 239 written reviews, not all 315 ratings.

Before buying

Choose the Nirvana for deep lounging and leather that marks and patinas, not low upkeep; owners report cushions sagging over the years. Check the low 18.5-inch seat suits everyone at home; ask Article about current cushions and inserts.
