Room×Lab Review · Review updated September 29, 2026

Owners, Ivory buyers among them, praise the Serenity's comfort and smooth glide; a loud footrest latch and unhelpful support stand out

Room×Lab read 25 distinct written reviews on Storkcraft's single Serenity listing, posted May 2021 to August 2026, averaging 4.4 stars. The listing covers Ivory, Steel and boucle versions, so reviews can mix them: a few owners name Ivory/cream or Steel/gray, most name no color, none mentions boucle. None is marked verified-purchase; 7 are flagged incentivized, 3 carry no flag. Many 5-star reviews are brief first impressions. Only two reviews state longer use: a USB port that died at about 6 months, and a chair back that broke at about 1.5 years and, the owner says, stabbed them in the back. Below are those two, the only 3- and 4-star reviews, and two detailed 5-star reviews.

Room×Lab rating: 6.1 out of 10 (limited confidence). Owners on Storkcraft's store, Ivory owners among them, mostly praise the Serenity's comfort, smooth glide and USB charging. The caveats: a footrest latch some find loud, the only two reports of longer use describe failures, and all three owners who contacted support got no fix.

  • Comfort praised, but owners disagree on firmness: 17 favorable and 1 critical mention of seat comfort and firmness. — Some owners call it soft and others call it firm, and a few like the firmness for back support. The one critical mention comes from an owner who bought both colors and found the gray unit noticeably firmer than the Ivory one; no other owner compares colors. No owner describes the cushions compressing over time.
  • The recline mostly works, but the footrest latch can be loud: 7 favorable and 2 critical mentions of the recline and footrest. — Owners say it reclines smoothly, stays open until pushed closed and is good for naps, and a 6 ft 4 in adult was comfortable reclined. One owner says a loud spring latch has occasionally woken the baby and the recline holds only with pressure. Another reports loud opening and closing and a footrest that sticks partway up.
  • The three owners who describe contacting support got no fix: 3 critical and no favorable mentions of help from Storkcraft support. — One owner's chair back broke after about 1.5 years, and support called it out of warranty. Another got no exchange for arms that were loose on delivery. A third was told there were no parts or replacement for a USB port that died after about six months. These are individual accounts and too few to show how often claims get resolved.

Before buying

Choose the Serenity for its smooth glide and USB charging if you can accept a one-year warranty, a footrest some owners find loud, and only two long-term owner reports, both describing failures. Check both official dimension sets against your nursery.
