Room×Lab Review · Review updated August 28, 2026

Owners across all sizes praise the softness and ribbed look; off-photo colors and pilling after washing are the caveats

Room×Lab read 1,413 distinct written owner reviews of the Quince Organic Ribbed Cotton Coverlet: 726 recent and 687 older. They cover the coverlet sold on its own and the set with shams, across sizes and colors. Quince does not label reviews by bed size, so the findings below describe the whole range, not the Twin alone. Every review carries Quince's verified-owner and incentivized labels. The reviews below show the most serious complaints, a King sizing complaint and typical praise. Complaints are much less common than the cards suggest: 1,260 of the 1,413 reviews give five stars.

Room×Lab rating: 8.2 out of 10 (limited confidence). Owners across all sizes strongly favor this coverlet's softness, ribbed look, coverage and value. Durability holds the score back: some owners saw pilling after the first wash, and a few reported tearing or later unraveling.

  • Comfort and softness: 468 favorable mentions — Across all sizes, softness and comfort were the leading praise. A few owners disliked the feel of the underside or of the coverlet as a whole, so not everyone agrees.
  • Color and finish: 580 favorable mentions; 83 concerns — Across all sizes and colors, owners usually liked the appearance and the ribbed finish. Among the 83 concerns, a recurring complaint was that the delivered color differed from the product photos.
  • Durability: 72 favorable mentions; 13 concerns — Favorable reports describe the coverlet holding up to repeated washing. The 13 concerns include pilling, sometimes after the first wash; tearing, in one case with body-oil staining within two weeks; and unraveling. These fast failures are serious but uncommon.

Before buying

Choose this coverlet for a soft, light cotton layer if you can accept that some owners saw pilling after the first wash or colors unlike the photos, and a few saw tearing or unraveling. Check the Twin's 68" W x 86" L against your mattress size and depth.
