Room×Lab Review · Review updated August 28, 2026

Owners across all sizes praise a cool, crisp, hotel-like feel; roughness is a recurring complaint, and a minority report heavy wrinkling or wash damage

Room×Lab read all 1,651 distinct written reviews on Quince's Classic Organic Percale Duvet Cover page, which sells this cover in Twin, Full/Queen and King/Cal King, in a range of colors and patterns, alone or with shams. The reviews mix all of these, so every count here covers the whole range, not the Twin alone. Quince labels each review as from a verified owner and incentivized. One review about unrelated swimwear was left out. The reviews below run from five stars to one: the most common praise first, then complaints about shade, roughness and fit, and an isolated early hole shown for completeness.

Room×Lab rating: 7.9 out of 10 (medium confidence). Across every size and color, owners rate this cover highly for its cool, crisp, hotel-like feel and its value. A minority find the fabric rough, report tears or wash damage, or say the cover did not match a same-size insert.

  • Cool comfort, distinctly crisp hand: 650 favorable comfort mentions; 87 concerns — Across all sizes and colors, owners frequently describe a cool, smooth, hotel-like feel. The 87 concerns include recurring reports of roughness, scratchiness, or too little softening, which makes texture preference the clearest divider.
  • Good wash results, with wrinkle and damage risks: 282 favorable care mentions; 85 concerns — Many owners said the cover washed well and softened gradually. The 85 concerns include heavy wrinkling, lasting roughness, shrinkage, and wash damage, including one hole after the first wash and a few days of use.
  • Usually sturdy, but not failure-free: 123 favorable durability mentions; 44 concerns — Owners often praised substantial fabric, ties, buttons, and sewing. The 44 concerns raised in owner reviews include tears, staining, puckering, crooked seams, and worries about the buttons.

Before buying

Choose it for a cool, crisp percale feel if you can accept wrinkles and a texture some sensitive sleepers find rough. Measure your Twin insert against the 68 x 86 inch cover, and use the return window if the fit or color is off.
