Owners praise the VOXLÖV's wipe-clean top and open ends; some tops arrived flawed, and inset legs crowd the long sides
Room×Lab read 226 distinct written retailer reviews; IKEA's 226 ratings can include reviews outside this table and do not count owners. They mix the US/European 70 7/8x35 3/8 in (180x90 cm) light bamboo table with an Asia-Pacific listing of the same name, in English, Japanese, Korean, German, Dutch, Swedish, Spanish and other languages; check your regional listing's specifications. Height and leg-clearance comments often come from Japanese and Korean homes. Most are short first impressions; a handful report one to three-plus years. A few owners use it as a desk or for sewing; two cut the legs down. Chairs mentioned alongside the table are not rated here. We picked the longest-use praise and the most specific of the rarer complaints.
Room×Lab rating: 7.7 out of 10 (medium confidence). Owners across IKEA's regional listings overwhelmingly like the VOXLÖV's bamboo look, wipe-clean top and sturdy feel, some after one to three years. The caveat is its veneered particleboard top: two owners saw peeling within a month, others reported dents within weeks, and some found flaws at assembly.
- Lacquered top wipes clean in many owner reports: 27 favorable and 1 critical mention about cleaning the lacquered top. — Owners report spills, food, markers and paint wiping off, including a household with small children over about 15 months of daily spills. One German-language owner said some everyday stains barely or never came off and found it not ideal with children.
- Some tops arrived flawed or peeled early: 9 critical (damage, defects, rough finish or lower quality) and 9 favorable on workmanship or finish. — Two owners describe the top peeling or delaminating, one within a week and one within a month (both reviews are below). Others found deep dents or a hole at assembly, uneven coating, or rough edges. Check the top before assembling.
- Inset legs free the ends but crowd the long sides: 10 favorable and 9 critical mentions about the inset leg placement. — Owners like unblocked seating at the ends and roll-under access, including for a child's wheelchair. Others say knees catch on the legs, chairs or two high chairs crowd between them, and very wide chairs will not fit. It is a design tradeoff, not a defect.
Before buying
Choose the VOXLÖV for a bright, easy-wipe family table if your chairs and knees clear the inset legs on the long sides; check the top for flaws before assembly, and have two people lift the heavy top.
