Lilac Against Brick

Creamy handmade brick walls and exposed oak lintels give an airy living room quiet architectural weight. Dusty lilac drapery and art provide the chromatic surprise, with oxblood repeated sparingly across the composition. Tailored silhouettes, dark timber and woven textures balance relaxed comfort with a collected, editorial sensibility. An off-center hearth and tall garden-facing windows keep the setting believable; soft afternoon daylight reveals the brick’s irregular surface.
