Curve Against the Grain

A collected dining room in a garden-facing home, with warm chalk walls, deep window reveals and oak floorboards. A generous curved silhouette softens the dining ensemble’s crisp, linear rhythm, creating quiet sculpture at a human scale. Walnut, muted oxblood and flax bring warmth and comfortable tactility; an off-centre artwork adds gentle imbalance. The composition feels assured but relaxed, equally inviting for a lingering supper or an ordinary weekday breakfast.
